STEM education is a new integration approach to the development, pedagogy and education of children. This field of education integrates the role of shaping children’s general scientific ideas about the world; their familiarity with information and communication technologies; development of the ability to experiment, construct, teach children the basics of processing the content of text, literacy, mathematics, as well as various arts. That is why we need to work closely with preschoolers to develop their skills in exact and humanitarian sciences.

We sence the importance of English in the modern world and offer children enhanced teaching and communication in English during the day. Since young children have a natural ability to learn languages, the aim of teaching is to learn a foreign language by natural method, as we have adopted our mother tongue.

Our educational program

We emphasize decent behavior, respect, respect for the elderly and nature.

Children are educated not only in a foreign language, but at the same time gain experience and friends, learn to take care of themselves gradually and at the same time develop imagination, creativity, fantasy.

We have set clear rules and we pay attention to their observance, thereby teaching children to responsibility and autonomy, we follow the state educational programme for pre-primary education ISCED, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.

We see the tremendous potential and uniqueness of every child, we fully support them in what they excel at.

We make effort to create a friendly environment based on mutual respect.

Kindergarten programme and focus:

  • education in the form of thematic units
  • interactive learning
  • experientive learning (e.g. outdoor pet care, cultivation work, work in theatre and art studio…)
  • development of the personality of the child – soul, body, ratio

The kindergarten has its own outdoor playground and we also visit the playgrounds on Jakubovo Square, on Grosslingova Street and on The Dobreorovo Waterfront. We like to go for walks, for example, to the Danube and around OC EUROVEA.

Hobbies and activities

  • MUSIC – teaching of nursery rhymes, poems, songs, playing musical instruments, listening to singing, relation to music and contact with music
  • ART – drawing, contact with colours and natural materials, production of own products, development of aesthetic skills, visual arts education, themed drawing, modelling
  • ENGLISH – selected ENGLISH THEME communication in English language within games and targeted activities depending on age and possibilities of individual children.
  • RUSSIAN –  selected THEME IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE, Communication in Russian language within games and targeted activities depending on age and possibilities of individual children
  • ISCED – working with workbooks in accordance with ISCED pre-primary education
  • SPORT – a large space around the nursery adapted for sports activities, where your child gets versatile physical fitness
  • ART THERAPY – sand animation, focuses on the development of creative abilities, children (more info here)
  • INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD – which we use in educational activities with a focus on modernization of the educational process with an emphasis on the development of educational needs of children

Other activities

in addition to regular weekly themes, we offer courses, excursions and trips, additional services according to interest during the year:

  • Swimming training, ski course, skating
  • Excursions (introduction of interesting professions)
  • Visits to museums of theatres, cinemas, galleries, concerts, libraries, cultural centres
  • Excursions to castles, mansions and the historic city centre
  • Trips to the ZOO and botanical garden, organic farm and forest
  • Riding ponies
  • Psychological and logoped counselling
